Grounding is the practice of returning your attention to the body, the breath, and the present moment. It is useful before divination, spellwork, meditation, journaling, and emotionally intense reflection.

A simple grounding practice is to place both feet on the floor, breathe slowly, and imagine excess tension draining downward while steadiness rises through you. Grounding pairs naturally with root chakra work, protective stones, earth symbolism, and stabilizing rituals.
